"[Our] fireplace surround is installed and painted. We absolutely LOVE it. The product definitely met and exceeded our expectations. The surround looks fantastic and the price was great! We had shopped around at the major home improvement stores for mantel kits and even contemplated trying to fabricate one ourselves. "The installation process went well and the way you've manufactured the pieces was able to hold the columns about a quarter high, allowing the marble hearth to be put into one piece without any cutting, then covering up the quarter inch gap with the base board. At the top the skirt under the mantle I installed after the marble walls were finished. I chose to install the parts at different times, in this way I felt I got a cleaner job and making it easier for the marble guy.
